Job Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled and efficient Vector Artist / Vector Tracing Specialist to join our team. Your primary responsibility will be converting low-resolution images, sketches, and complex artwork into clean, scalable, and production-ready vector files. The ideal candidate must have sharp attention to detail, a solid understanding of color separation, and the ability to deliver flawless results under tight deadlines.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Manually trace and convert low-res raster images (JPEG, PNG) into high-quality vector formats (AI, EPS, SVG, PDF) using the Pen Tool (No auto-trace).
- Prepare and optimize artwork specifically for screen printing, custom patches, sublamation, and embroidery digitizing setup.
- Fix overlapping paths, close open nodes, and clean up unnecessary anchor points for flawless production.
- Perform color separation, color matching (Pantone), and adjust line weights based on specific product requirements.
- Recreate complex logos, typography, typography-based layouts, and custom illustrations accurately.
- Handle high-volume daily orders while maintaining exceptional quality and consistency.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: 4+ years of professional experience as a Vector Artist or Production Graphic Designer.
- Software Skills: Expert-level mastery of Adobe Illustrator or CorelDRAW.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of vector nodes, paths, layers, color modes (CMYK vs. RGB), and print-ready specifications.
- Pro-level command of the Pen Tool for clean, smooth, and precise curves.
- Excellent understanding of typography, font matching, and layout design.
- Ability to work fast without compromising on the sharpness and accuracy of the details.
- A solid portfolio demonstrating before/after examples of vector tracing work.
